Interior Furnishings Visualization App Name
PROJECT: Rename the flagship home furnishings visualization app for a startup company in the AI/machine vision space.
SUGAR CUBE: A small cube of compacted sugar used especially for sweetening hot drinks. Cube: a symmetrical three-dimensional shape, either solid or hollow, contained by six equal squares.
BRAND POSITIONING: Geomagical Labs, an AI/machine vision startup, hired us to name their new interior design app that allows users to input photos of their own interior spaces and then see how items from the company’s catalog of partner interior furnishings and wall treatments would look in the customer’s home. The company wanted to move away from their original name for the product, Wallspice, which was narrowly restricted to wall treatments and furthermore disapeared in a sea of sound-alike interior design brands that all included “Wall” in their names.
The client chose a very strong pool of leading contender names. The name they selected, Sugarcube, is a warm, friendly, and approachable evocative name that sweetly evokes comfort, ease-of-use, and a modern, pop style. Sugarcube is all about sweetening every interior aspect of your “cube” – your personal living space.
