BRAND POSITIONING: ZS Associates, a management consulting firm that provides sales and marketing services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and agribusiness industries, hired us to name their new data analytics software platform. The new, ready-to-use platform is “designed to help companies embark into the new frontier of analytics,” and “avoid their own development of internal capability, often a multi-year initiative.” In short, ZS Associates is revolutionizing how technology, data, and computing power are accessed.
The name we created, REVO, underscores the revolutionary nature of this platform. Revo is short and sweet, a fun, hip name that emphasizes that this is not your grandfather’s data analytics platform. While technically an invented name, REVO is unique in that it readily connotes both the functional/practical manifestations of the brand — revolve, revolving, creating a unique orbit of apps and modules around the primary software platform core — and more aspirational, progressive, and evocative attributes — leading the revolution in data analytics. REVO offers “advanced decision-making with next-generation analytics applications that apply machine learning algorithms, including natural language processing on a variety of structured and unstructured data, such as patient-level data, social media and real-time streaming data.” In short, REVO helps companies rev up their data analytics game.
